Email files to SharePoint
Give your team one email address that files attachments into a SharePoint document library. Suppliers, scanners and colleagues email it, and the files are in the library everyone already works from, within seconds.
Paid plans start at $5 a month for 200 files a month, with no email size limit. To try it out, the free plan takes up to 20 files a month, in emails up to 5 MB.
How to set it up
Sign in with SharePoint
Use your Microsoft 365 work account. Email It In asks Microsoft for access to the SharePoint sites you can open.
Choose the library
In Settings, pick a site, then a document library, then a folder in it, or the top of the library.
Give out the address
Give it to suppliers, set it on the office scanner, or forward to it yourself. Each attachment lands in the library under its own name.
When your IT team has to approve it
Many organisations only let staff connect apps their Microsoft 365 admin has approved. If Microsoft asks for approval, Email It In shows you a link to send to your admin. One click from them approves it for everyone in the organisation, and you connect again.
Email It In files with your own SharePoint permissions: it can only use sites and libraries you can open yourself.
Folders inside the library
Every attachment goes into the folder you chose. Inside it, a paid plan can sort further:
- Tags: mail to you+invoices@emailitin.com, or with [invoices] in the subject, goes into an invoices folder.
- A folder for each email subject, so the attachments of one email stay together.
- On the Pro plan, automatic folders by sender or month, and file names that start with the date and the sender.
